Personnel in Antwerp hospital receive foldable bikes

By providing free of charge public transport season tickets the number of employees travelling to work with the public transport has more than doubled (from 130 to 300 single commuters) and the interest keeps on growing.

Almost 1 in 3 employees now travel to the hospital in Antwerp (Belgium) by train, tram or bus. Aiming for car commuting to disappear completely is unthinkable with early and late night shifts in this sector.

The introduction of a cycling compensation convinced 180 employees (that is 1 in 5) to use the bicycle. Next to that employees who park their cars in parking garages on a distance from the hospital receive a foldable bike.
